What white-labeling changes
With the toggle off, the chat panel includes a small "Powered by Salva" line at the bottom. With the toggle on, that line is removed entirely. The rest of the widget — colors, logo, greeting, AI behavior — is identical.
Chat panel footer reads: "Powered by Salva AI" with a small link. This is the default on the Basic plan and on Pro/Growth plans when the toggle is off.
Why most practices turn it on
For patients, a chat widget feels more trustworthy when it appears to be part of your practice's own site. Removing the third-party badge makes the experience feel native — especially valuable for premium specialty practices where brand consistency matters.
What it doesn't do
White-labeling removes the footer attribution. It does not:
- Change the AI's responses or behavior
- Give you access to the Salva codebase
- Affect SEO or page load
- Require any code changes on your end
If you're customizing fonts, button shapes, or widget positioning, that's still done through Customizing the widget — white-labeling is purely about removing the Salva badge.
How to turn it on
- Open Settings → Widget
- Scroll to the Branding section
- Toggle White-label on
Change is live within a minute. No re-embedding required.
What about voice?
Voice calls don't have a "Powered by Salva" announcement to begin with — the AI just identifies itself with the name you give it (e.g., "This is Claire from Bright Smiles"). White-labeling only applies to the chat widget.
